One of our wonderful readers here at Frugal Living And Having Fun , Jolene, has offered a very generous giveaway of $25.00 worth of Usborne Books to one reader of Frugal Living And Having Fun.
I was very excited with her offer to host a giveaway because I love Usborne Books. As a home school mom, I am very familiar with the company and the high quality of their books. I have been buying and using Usborne Books for about 12 years now, and have never had a hard time picking out something new and wonderful from their catalogs.
When Jolene offered up this giveaway to her frugal friends here at Frugal Living And Having Fun, she also offered me $25.00 to spend on Usborne Books. It didn’t take me long to find what I wanted. I bought a Kid Kit titled, “Starting Cooking” for my niece who is turning 3 this January, and a wonderful set of over-sized cards titled, “30 Yummy Things To Cook And Eat” . With my girls loving to cook as much as they do, I knew this would be a hit..
As soon as the Usborne package arrived, my girls put all 30 cards on the floor examining them to see what they would make first. The cards are very well done with step-by-step instructions with beautiful illustrations along each step. The cards are on very sturdy card board and are very bright and easy to follow. Here are a few pictures of their fun cooking time making one of the recipes with their new set of cards. They made, “Little Meringues”. The meringues were really good, very sweet, but really good. **You can see the quality of the cards in the first picture. You can tell it was “Pantry Surprise” the night they made this by the mess on the stove….”smile”.
