AJ WRIGHT GIFT CARD GIVEAWAY
As author of Frugal Living And Having Fun, AJ Wright wanted to put my shopping skills to the test.
AJ Wright, a sister company of TJ Maxx and Marshalls, awarded Frugal Living And Having Fun with a $100 shopping cart to show off my shopping skills.
Entering their newly renovated store in Cranston, Rhode Island, I was eager to go through all their departments to see how much I could buy. They gave me a calculator and pen and pad to keep track of all my purchases.
First stop had to be housewares because I have needed several things, like dishtowels, and flatware for awhile. I was very impressed with the size and variety of housewares, as I wasn’t expecting to see as much of a selection as I did. My two favorite finds in this department were a 53 piece Flatware set, normally retailed priced at $55.00, for only $29.99. That was a great find. The second were some beautiful 100% Egyptian Cotton Kitchen Towels 7 pk. for only $7.99, retail price $15.00. These I love, because I see them in Country Magazines all the time and have always wanted them. They were so nice, I bought 2 pks. of them. I bought several other things in Housewares as well that I will list below .
My second stop was in the Ladies Lingerie Department. Wow! I didn’t know where to begin. Everything I purchased in this department was a great find, but the one that meant the most to me was a pair of blue flowered pajamas that I bought for my daughter to come home to after her surgery. Normally retailed price at 16.99, I only paid $9.99. I also was able to buy both my daughter and I a pair of beautiful slippers for only $6.99 retailed value $12.99.
When all was said and done, I had a cart full of merchandise that our family needed, and a few “wants”, for just $100.00. I was thrilled. I had never shopped at an AJ Wright before, so I am excited to have been introduced to what I now consider one of my favorite “Frugal” stores to shop at. Their isles are plenty wide to get around comfortably with a cart, and their store was easy to navigate around with their bright, new look, easy to read, toppers in each department. I was also very impressed of the cleanliness and order to their store. I don’t really like shopping in a messy store, so this was something I really appreciated.

As you can see, I bought a lot with just $100.00. I added up all the retail prices, and if I had to spend regular price for all I bought, it would have cost me at least $160. I cannot wait to go back and do some more shopping. I’m sure around the holidays, they will have some great buys.
